IBM BladeCenter gears up to boost the retail industry

IBM has come up with innovative solutions using the IBM BladeCenter platform which would be a boon to the retail industry. The latest solutions would help retailers in resourceful and cost-effective handling of the entire servers, applications and networking by consolidating them in a single configuration.

The global retail industry is heading for a big boom, expected to reach $150 billion by 2009, according to Gartner Dataquest. To keep up with the rapid growth, retailers need to personalize their in store handling of customers and products by employing cutting edge technology and applications to manage the sophisticated and complex operations.
