Adobe Gears up to Release Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Macintosh
February 28, 2006
Adobe Systems made headlines in the digital imaging industry with the announcement for its plans to release Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Macintosh in March. The latest photo-editing software will improve upon the available photo-editing options in Photoshop CS2.
Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac will have several added features to the already existing one. But the new additions like the Magic Selection Brush, Skin Tone Adjustment and Magic Extractor will be familiar to the Photoshop users. A new Adobe Bridge files browser and integrated Photoshop Services will also be integrated in the new version.
In September 2005, Adobe released the Windows version of the Elements 4.0, while the Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac is just at the initial stage of its release. It is now available in the Adobe site for pre-order and will hit the electronics retail shops shortly at an estimated price of $89.99.
Adobe has also announced the expansion of its Photoshop services through new partnerships with a data recovery firm, Iron Mountain and an e-commerce photo service provider, MorePhotos. This strategic partnership will help photographers in the back up procedures of their online photos in the case of accidental loss or corruption.
