Islamica Magazine provides world famous Islamic Magazine.

Issues Faced
Islamica Magazine wanted to sell its Issues without any middlemen. Also they wanted to sell the subscription of their issues to the users of their site. Therefore they wanted a solution that promised an Intricate Content Management System that enabled them to update their Issues, handle subscriptions, offer complete order reporting and customer information and also allow the sponsors to sponsor the magazine for some causes. They also wanted to provide a feature of E-Zine where their customers could be given access to their complete online magazine for all their archives and current issue.

Remedies
Infinity developed, in the dynamic platform of Microsoft .NET, a thousand hour application which has a shopping cart layout, allowing for complete control of current Issues , subscriptions , archives and the upcoming issue . Complete magazine content has been provided along with an advanced management of the Issues.

Islamica Magazine allows sponsors to sponsor a subscription for a cause . This also allows the retailers of the magazine to register themselves on the site so that the user can search for the nearest retailers. The site also has the functionality where the advertiser can apply for the available slots in the physical copy of the Islamica magazine, and on the approval from the management can then pay online for their advertisements. A registered user who has bought some subscriptions has an access to the complete online archive too.

The site have a powerful content management system where the management can view and maintain the reports of the issues they have shipped and also can export these reports in CSV formats for their reference. The generated reports inform them about the complete tracking of all the pending issues of the customers for their subscription.

We employed Microsoft's .NET technology --ASP.NET for developing the application. The complete solution comprised of the following programming tools:

• SQL Server 2000

To maintain the proper development and a complete track of the project right from the analysis to deployment proper usage of the following modeling tools have been exploited:

• MS Visio
• Allfusion Erwin
